Booktalking Clubs - Get the Lowdown!

Hi everyone,
Today's post is over at Adventures in Literacy Land. The topic is Booktalking Clubs. If you want to know what they are, (no, not the same as a book club), how it works, and how it could increase student engagement, head over to see the post here or click on the image!

  1. I read your post on Adventures in Literacy Land about booktalks. I recently went to the Scholastic Reading Summit, too and am planning on having booktalk clubs this year. I'm working with another English teacher and our librarian. Our plan is to have it open for 3rd - 8th graders. We have community meetings every Friday, so our hope is to have trailers completed before Christmas break and then after we return, show one or two trailers at each of Friday's meetings. Seems like a really fun way to spread some reading love!
